hails from NEW YORK CITY, playing since 2007, playing progressive rock
These kids are new to everything, the music scene and the idea of touring. Sure they’ve played instruments when they were younger and got together in high school to form a band, but it was always more of a ‘fun thing to do’ than anything for them. KING and BURTON thought it would be a neat idea to set up a band that used odder sorts on instruments. BURTON knew a violinist, REED, who was all too eager to begin playing with them. They held in school auditions and that was how they found GORDON, WOLFE and JOON, though going to the same school they all ‘sort of’ knew each other before hand.
They play good music and experiment quite a bit. They’re known for having the most diverse play list, mixing genres almost in their songs and their shows. They also have the starkest sets and are more for the music then anything. Not bad for a band who started by accident and play mostly for fun.
Oh and by the way, those kids from Love Manifesto… yeah, even though they’re a bit older, that kid KELLER, he and JOON knew each other before their bands took off and so even though the guys from Love Manifesto are older, the two bands do a lot of hanging out and they’re all decent friends at the very least. Love Manifesto, despite the different genre, is kind of like their mentor

THE CREW
The crew are all older than the kids in the band, some by quite a few years. A couple of them crewed for Love Manifesto first, or met these guys through a connection to Love Manifesto. So needless to say these guys tend to get on with Love Manifesto and the crew. One in particular, ALLSION, who started out as crew for Love Manifesto spends almost more time with that crew than Dust of the Abyss. In fact some speculate that there is a crush involved, or unrequited love. No one’s talking though.

THE STYLISTS
These stylist don’t have a whole lot to do. Mostly they just need to make sure everuyone looks presentable. But Dust of the Abyss isn’t crazy in the visual department so… but these stylists are okay and they are sometimes loaned out to Love Manifesto, seeing as the bands share a lot and Love Manifesto sometimes could use the extra help.

THE MERCH KIDS
These merch kids can be a little weirder than most but whatever, they don’t mind. They’re known for doing strange things, like sitting at their table or tent, barefoot, feet on table, attempting to sell one single t-shirt at a time, and weird things like that. They always advertise for Love Manifesto too.
